Niall Horan is in a tough situation.

On Thursday, the "Ideal To Meet Ya" artist joined James Corden for The Late Show's Carpool Karaoke—and it was loaded up with One Direction sentimentality.

Starting things off, the couple sang "Slow Hands" together as they passed through Los Angeles. In the wake of making a fast stop in a recreation area, Niall and James conveyed a high-energy execution of his new melody "Good To Meet Ya," which dispatched the melodic pair into some rowdy dance moves.

As the melody reached a conclusion, James asked the "No Judgment" artist about his days in 1D and how he recalled that time in his life.

"Having taken a gander at 1D from the external now, I got to see, similar to, how large it was," he told the late night have. "Because when you were in the band, your work simply turns into somewhat ordinary and, similar to, you're in a little air pocket and you don't get to see what it resembles from an external perspective. Thus, thinking back now, I understand how fortunate we were. Like, there was nobody doing arenas at that point. It's simply crazy."

Feeling nostalgic over Niall's One Direction days, James shocked him with his "top choice" piece of 1D product, which turned out to be a jug of toothpaste with Niall, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson on it.
